We’ve found new ways of doing what we do. This is exciting, but it also forces us to step out of our comfort zones. Our new way of working has been implemented throughout the whole process of writing songs, making demos, rehearsing the songs, recording them in a studio and rehearsing them again. In an odd way, every now and then we feel like we’re covering our own songs. We are the audiotransparent tribute band…
Nowadays, when we’re in the studio, everyone’s allowed to step off his own island, and do whatever he wants to. So it could be Gijs playing bass, Chris adding drums, Bart doing piano, if it works, it works. This could also mean doing absolutely nothing in a song.
So far, we are very happy with the recording sessions we’ve had. They yielded a bunch of songs that we consider our best yet, and we feel there’s even more in the pipe line. The songs are getting shorter, more to the point, we even considered calling them ‘pop’. Although, us referring to ‘pop’ should be taken with a grain of salt…
