It seems good ideas stick. Last year we had an amazing time in a church on the Noorderzon festival. In two weeks we we will be playing in a church in Middelstum, a small village near our city Groningen. We will probably do 2 or 3 shows in one day there. This is also part of a bigger festival which is called Terug naar het begin.  The festival will let you take a tour through the small vilages in Groningen and their old churches.

After a quick visit to the church the problem of “huge reverbs” certainly reared its ugly head. It takes about 6 seconds for a sound to die out. But on the positive side: the have a huge organ which we can use, so that’s pretty awsome! We’re not sure yet how we will adapt to this situation but I can assure you it will be a one of a kind show with more room for our lovely string- and one piece horn section. We might also try some more acapella vocal stuff as well.
